The vocabulary around these games is small and often used loosely. These are the working definitions.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Binomial distribution | The bell-shaped spread produced by many independent left-or-right choices. It is why Plinko's centre slots come up so much more often than the edges. |
| Client seed | A value you supply or accept, combined with the server seed to produce the result. Part of verification. |
| Edge slot | The outermost landing positions, carrying the largest multipliers and the smallest probabilities. |
| House edge | 100% minus the RTP. The share of everything staked that the game keeps over the long run. |
| Multiplier | The number a slot applies to your stake. A 0.5× multiplier returns half the stake — a loss. |
| Nonce | A counter that increments each round so the same seed pair produces a different result each time. |
| Risk level | A setting that reshapes the payout table without changing the return. |
| Rows | The number of pin rows, which sets how many slots exist and how rare the edges are. |
| RTP | Return to player: the share of stakes returned over an enormous number of rounds. |
| Server seed | A secret value hashed and shown before the round, revealed afterwards so the result can be checked. |
| Volatility | How far individual results scatter around the average. See the full explanation. |
